The foremost reason I won't go into private practice is the desperation of 95% of the people who'd come to me. They NEED to hear the answer they want to be true and not the one in front of their eyes. My Oma always smiled cynically and told me to tell the gadje what they wanted to hear. You, my darling, have been looking for proof that you've been selfish and dopey- hence the need for outside validation and how one stubborn client can knock you askew. It's just fright, dear one. If everything had gone perfectly you'd have found a way to doubt that too. I'm not chiding, I totally get your nervousness and the need for second guessing, it's natural. Whenever we kick over the traces of the conventional we look for reasons to fail and/or iron-clad proof we've done right. I believe in you. I believe you will always be a success in whatever your pour your passion into. Breathe deep and believe. ~LA
